# Sample Products

See the sample products that show how a complete configuration fits together.

Sample products are examples that show how configuration fits together. They are added when Retail LOS is set up, and adding them never overwrites an existing product.

> **Use sample products as configuration references, not as lending policy.** Set your own rates, thresholds, workflows and disclosures before you activate a product.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Confirm lending policy, approval criteria, documents and regulatory disclosures with your credit and compliance teams before you use a sample product with applicants.

  {% endtab %}

### Use the Unsecured Personal Loan as a model

This product shows how a complete configuration looks.

| Tab                        | What is set                                                                        |
| -------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **General Information** | An individual term loan with a fixed rate and monthly payments |
| **Application Flow** | One step, "Loan Application", with a Loan Purpose section and Terms and Conditions |
| **Document Config** | Application Form and Driver's License, both optional, due before Underwriting |
| **Disclosures & Terms** | A loan agreement and one required consent to pull credit |
| **Credit Decision Matrix** | A starter policy                                                                   |
| **Workflow**               | Seven steps                                                                        |
| **Tab Settings** | The tabs shown at Intake, Underwriting and Closing |

The starter policy has three rules, checked in order: a knockout that declines, an auto-approval rule that approves into the best risk tier, and a catch-all that sends everyone else to manual review. Each risk tier has its own pricing ladder.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.uptiq.ai/retail-lending/sample-products.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
