# Retail LOS

Navigate the Retail Loan Origination System (LOS) product reference documentation, User Guides, Help Centre, and Changelog.

### Welcome to Retail Lending

Retail LOS (Loan Origination System) is an end-to-end cloud solution for US Financial Institutions (FIs), including credit unions, to open deposit accounts and manage retail lending across consumer, auto, credit card, and residential mortgage products. An applicant can open accounts and apply for credit in one application.

Applicants, FI staff and Partners each use their own portal to reach Retail LOS. Inside Retail LOS, products are loans, credit cards, lines of credit and deposit accounts. Applications move through Intake, Underwriting, Closing and Funding, and deposit accounts end at Account Opening. Forms, decisioning and workflow are configured per product. Retail LOS connects to identity and business checks, credit and bank data, e-sign and email, and document reading."><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Using **Agentic AI** and **automated workflows**, it handles the loan lifecycle — application intake, identity verification, decisioning, risk pricing, document generation, and closing — while adhering to US regulatory standards including TILA, ECOA, and FCRA.

This hub organizes the Retail LOS reference into focused guides. Use the pages below to configure, operate, and validate Retail LOS without repeated content.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.uptiq.ai/retail-lending/readme.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
