# AI agents

Learn what each AI agent in Commercial Lending does and how agents are configured.

AI agents do the repetitive work in Commercial Lending, and people make the decisions. Four superagents cover the major stretches of the lifecycle, and task agents handle single jobs inside them. Each agent page describes its purpose, what triggers it, its inputs and outputs, and where a person reviews its work.

{% hint style="info" %}
Agents prepare work; people approve it. Each agent's output passes through a human review point before it's used downstream.
{% endhint %}

## Task agents

Task agents handle single jobs inside the superagents: document classification and validation, extraction, packet ingestion, credit policy evaluation, credit memo drafting, and document generation. Each is mapped to your tenant in [Agent configurations](broken://pages/c01a0a65dbc47b21c6b9b2baddd53e74ec72fb67).

## Human review

In underwriting, each module has a reviewer sign-off gate: **Pending → Reviewed → Signed-off**. Downstream modules can't use a module's data until it's signed off. See [Reviewer sign-off](/commercial-lending/getting-started/concepts/reviewer-sign-off.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.uptiq.ai/commercial-lending/ai-agents.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
